The patient has the right to be treated in a healthcare facility that meets the requirements for technological adequacy of equipment, professionalism of healthcare personnel, and comfort. For patients at high risk of complications, all centers are able to offer the essential services to implement urgent and emergency procedures.
The patient has the right to be informed about any aspect of their illness and about every diagnostic and therapeutic measure that the physician deems necessary.
The dialysis patient has the right to social, educational, and occupational integration. The timing and methods of therapy must take these needs into account, compatible with the logistical and organizational availability of the centers.
The dialysis patient has the right to report, directly or through their representatives, any dysfunctions and/or deficiencies of the centers. Any observations must first be expressed to the medical and nursing staff of the centers, and if satisfaction is not obtained, to the competent ASL authorities.
