Ukrainian mothers on dialysis
The women are part of a group of 10 mothers who found hospitality in Italy thanks to the Bishopric of Frascati. The center is located within the complex of the Sisters of Charity of San Carlo of the Nancy order and benefits from their extraordinary collaboration. The Ukrainian women and their children will be welcomed at the Diocesan House of Spirituality Villa Campitelli. The Bishop, His Excellency Monsignor Raffaello Martinelli, also waived the daily economic contribution provided by the Italian State for those hosting Ukrainian refugees.
Furthermore, Nefrocenter stands alongside the Family Project Federation in the Ukraine Emergency campaign, for the support and reception of refugees. A meeting has already been held with Marco Giordano and Carmela Memoli, who have been engaged as a foster family for years. The group has offered medical and logistical support, strengthening the humanitarian corridor to the areas affected by the war in Ukraine. The details of the initiatives will soon be presented in a videoconference with Father Jan, a Polish priest who coordinates an operational base in Poland to support the refugees.
Nefrocenter availability to the Campania Region
Nefrocenter has also offered its availability to the Campania Region to provide dialysis treatment to refugees from war zones who need care. A social commitment by the group of founder Giovanni Lombardi, who has shown his sensitivity in a dramatic moment like the one the whole world is experiencing due to the war in Ukraine.
The Nefrocenter group has also provided its collaboration to the vaccination plan for fragile dialysis patients, making facilities and healthcare workers available for dialysis patients who needed to receive doses to immunize against Covid-19. The commitment then continued with the creation of an ad hoc package to perform all tests for people with post-Covid-19 symptoms.
