Dermatology is the medical specialty that deals with the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases of the skin and its cutaneous appendages, such as hair, nails, and sweat and sebaceous glands. The skin is the largest organ of our body, serves as a protective barrier against the external environment, and is often a mirror of internal health, being able to manifest signs of systemic pathologies.
